Oh yeah, have any of you seen the trailer for the upcoming DS Zelda game subtitled "Spirit Tracks"? As the name implies, Link's riding around on a train this time (yeah, that kind of puzzled me). The game itself, however, looks almost identical to Phantom Hourglass, which I thought was merely OK.
I'm pretty sure I'll still get some enjoyment out of this upcoming game because I'm a Zelda fan--and hopefully Nintendo will fix the problems with Phantom Hourglass in the process--but these new Zelda games are starting to get pretty gimmicky. As much as I like this series, Nintendo really needs to put something NEW into the core Zelda gameplay. I'm not referring to trains or sailing. I'm referring to something--ANYTHING--that might switch up the typical pattern of Zelda games that's been there for the past (close to as of writing this) 22 years. I don't know what that "magic bullet" might be, but maybe reviving the action RPG gameplay of Zelda II would be a good start. I know not many people liked that game (it was really hard!), but at least it was different.
Actually, I have a better idea: have people play as Zelda--and yes I know about the CD-i Zelda games in which you played as her, but those don't count. The Mario series did that with Super Princess Peach, so why not allow people to play as Hyrule's damsel in (varying degress of) distress?
Whew...didn't expect that to turn into a rant...Ah, well.

So, you'd talk about them, their pros and cons, and then give them a final rating. If you like whatever thing you are talking about, then talk about why you like it and why other people probably like it. If you hate it, talk about what you hate about it, and what should be done about it, or what is better than it. Like, let's say you can't stand MySpace because [insert reason here], but then you discover another social network that you do like for [insert reason here.] Or, you can even write about Social Networks in general.
I don't know... I think it would be cool. And, you could just pick a new thing to write about every month or whatever. After all, the world will never run out of pointless sites for you to rant about.
watch!!
