So, I went to a programming competition this past weekend. I spent, like, 5 hours cooperating with the two people on my team--there was another team working separately--to solve really, really hard problems. There was one problem that I later found out that required a knowledge of linear algebra!!

We didn't solve any of the 8 problems we were given, so we didn't win the competition. However, we all got T-shirts (which we wore during the competition), certificates of honorable mention--which I kind of find hilarious. Seriously, we're not in second grade anymore--and a freebie of our choice. I picked up a notebook with the Google logo on the front cover.

Oh yeah, and I should mention that I didn't end up reformatting my Wii. I found that "red-lighting" my console--holding down the Power button to turn it off fully--seems to not make it act wacky. I did end up erasing all my Miis because I went through a troubleshooting session with another Nintendo representative on the phone (which didn't end up fixing the problem). Thankfully, I backed them all up on my Wiimote beforehand.
